Terms and Conditions
By ticking this box, you are confirming agreement with the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and you agree to be bound by the Event Rules available on the race website, and you agree to the Participant Declaration and Code of Conduct below in submitting your application. You also accept these terms, declaration, and rules on behalf of any other participants you enter into this event, all of whom have been provided with a copy and accept them.
Experience Declaration
You agree that although the organisers will ensure that the event is as safe as possible, your safety is ultimately your responsibility, just as it is with any trip into the hills.
You agree that you have made a realistic assessment of your capabilities and experience and believe that you have a reasonable chance of completing the Dragon’s Back Race® or The Hatchling course as it is described on the event website and declare that:
•I understand that sections of the course are very isolated and remote and include technical terrain exposed to severe and unpredictable weather.
•I have sufficient experience to understand the nature of the challenge I am taking on.
•I will always apply sound mountain judgement to my decisions and choices, even if it means compromising my overall race result.
•I know my limitations, and I am experienced enough to make a reasoned decision about whether to start the event and/or retire from it rather than jeopardise my own or other people’s safety.
•I accept full responsibility for my safety and any injury sustained during the event. These are not the responsibility of the event organiser, their agents or the landowners.
